Direction

Direction offers a safe, non-judgmental place of welcome for the directee where his/her experiences are taken seriously. Spiritual direction invites a deeper relationship with the spiritual aspect of being human. Spiritual direction helps people tell their sacred stories everyday. Seek and Find a Spiritual Director if you are you looking for some direction in your life. Like psychotherapy, it is often offered as a one-to-one or group experience in private sessions with spiritual mentors who have most likely completed extensive formation for the ministry of spiritual direction – it is up to you to choose a spiritual director who has the training, formation and experience that suits your needs. Spiritual direction includes your deity or higher power as a third partner in the process. In the technical sense of the term, spiritual direction is that function of the sacred ministry by which the Church guides the faithful to the attainment of eternal happiness.

Dear Friends and Family,
You haven't heard of this new venture, because it is still being formed, and Bobby, as you know, is always jumping the gun . . .
I shared my heart's desire to direct and help people deepen their relationship with God with a few women, and one of the women had the power to make things happen. I have been invited to her church to provide spiritual direction to her congregation. I am full of anxiety; she is full of confidence. But I owe it to God to reveal to others what was revealed to me. A living, loving Christ, who wants more than anything, to be included in our lives. A way of life that makes a personal difference; and the belief that if my life changes for the better, a little bit of the world changes for the better. I ask for your prayers.

Spiritual direction is the process of accompanying people on a spiritual journey, and helps people tell their sacred stories everyday. Spiritual direction exists in a context that emphasizes growing closer to God (or the holy or a higher power) and is for anyone who wants to grow closer to God and to hear God’s voice more clearly. Spiritual direction is a ministry in which one person, the spiritual director, helps another, the directee, become more aware of God’s self-communication in his or her life, respond to that self-communication, and live out the gifts of that relationship. Spiritual direction is a ministry in the Church concerned with facilitating a person’s growth in intimacy with God which leads, as a consequence, to right relationship with all creation. Spiritual direction invites a deeper relationship with the spiritual aspect of being human. Spiritual direction is an ancient tradition of a covenanted relationship with a spiritual companion occurring in an atmosphere of trust and loving presence. Spiritual direction is a voluntary relationship between a person who seeks to grow in the Christian life and a director. Spiritual direction is a ministry deeply rooted in the Christian tradition and is the practice of helping another to awaken to the Mystery called God.

This is the first I have heard about this so congrats on something that's always been a BIG part of you. Don't worry, God didn't worry because he knew they would come so I guess you should believe the same thing they will come.
